Blending the soulful rhythms of Sierra Leone with hip-hop grit, heartfelt melodies, and modern production, this debut project is a journey through identity, resilience, and artistic mastery. Each track reflects a facet of Stephan Tamba Esteban Bayoh — the man behind the name — turning his jumbled initials into a cohesive, genre-blending sound that’s as personal as it is powerful.
Wan-Yai Shooter is a bold 5-track joint EP from Mr. BEST and acclaimed producer Thy Young, delivering hunger, focus, and lyrical precision from two artists deeply in tune with their craft. Released in the thick of 2020—a year the world stood still—this project became a creative response to global uncertainty, turning isolation into inspiration.
The EP opens with an energetic intro from Boston’s own DJ Charlie B, setting the stage for a dynamic blend of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and raw storytelling. Tracks like the urgent “Wait!”, the visionary anthem “2020 Vision”, and the hard-hitting “Mean Na Fun” showcase the duo’s chemistry and versatility.
